By means of a wheel loader, the stockpiled trash were removed in order to create a gap between the trash pile and the fence of the police academy to prevent the fire from spreading towards the direction of the police academy. In addition, support has been provided to the fire brigade by removing garbage and obstacles, levelling the way and providing access to the sea. This way the firefighters could get more water in order to set the fire under control.
